REVIEW

Mykel has been on my read list for a while. This book was the perfect introduction to her work. Jonny and Summer have been through the wringers with the life they have had so far. The island offers new starts for them but each of them are at different stages of this journey. Jonny is facing the end of the career he is known and his marriage that has eluded for so long. The baggage weighs on him but Summer is a welcome distraction. However she isn’t ready. Summer has her own baggage which she has managed to fix and move on from.

Mykel’s brand of romance was addicting. Not your typical romance, this sport romance dealt with the aftermath of being in the spotlight. What happens when the curtains close. Jonny’s and Summer’s journey was full of up’s and down’s and heart breaking at times. However things are worth the wait sometimes and this book was perfect example of holding out
